đŸŒ§ī¸ Himachal Pradesh Cloudburst: CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Inspects Affected Areas, Assures Probe into Landslides

 

In the wake of the devastating cloudburst and landslides triggered by incessant rains across Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu personally visited the worst-affected regions to take stock of the situation.

 

📍 Major Updates:

🔹 The calamity has led to widespread destruction in several districts, especially Mandi, Kullu, and Shimla, with multiple houses damaged and key roads blocked.

🔹 At least 10 people have lost their lives, and several others remain missing.

🔹 Rescue operations by NDRF, SDRF, and local administration are underway on a war footing.

 

🚁 CM’s Ground Visit and Statement:

Chief Minister Sukhu met with affected families and assured immediate relief and rehabilitation. He stated:

 

> “A detailed probe will be conducted to understand the causes of the landslides and assess whether construction violations or negligence contributed to the tragedy.”

 

 

 

đŸ’Ŧ He also directed officials to:

 

Accelerate search and rescue operations

 

Provide ex-gratia compensation to the families of the deceased

 

Ensure restoration of electricity, roads, and communication services

 

 

âš ī¸ Weather Alert:

The IMD has warned of more rainfall in the coming days, prompting the state to remain on high alert.

 

🙏 The Chief Minister has appealed to citizens to stay cautious and cooperate with authorities, as the government works around the clock to mitigate the crisis and ensure safety for all.
