🇮🇳 The Tricolour Now Flies Over the World’s Highest Railway Bridge – Chenab Rail Bridge 🇮🇳

Jammu & Kashmir: In a proud and historic moment, the Indian national flag was hoisted atop the Chenab Rail Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, symbolizing India’s engineering excellence and unwavering national spirit.

 

Spanning the deep gorges of the Chenab River in Jammu & Kashmir, this monumental structure stands 359 meters above the riverbed, surpassing even the height of the Eiffel Tower. The bridge forms a crucial link in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Project, connecting remote areas of the Kashmir Valley with the rest of India.

 

Officials described the moment as a celebration of India’s growing infrastructure capability, achieved against the odds in extremely challenging terrain. The successful completion and flag hoisting also mark a major milestone in India’s efforts to modernize and expand its transport network in sensitive border regions.

 

The bridge is not only an engineering triumph but also a symbol of unity, resilience, and national pride.
