*Tamulpur Development Block Shines at the National Level*
_Ranks 1st among 500 Development Blocks across India_
*Tamulpur, 27 June 2025* :
In a significant recognition of its development efforts, Tamulpur Development Block has secured the 1st position among 500 Aspirational Blocks across the country, as announced today in a virtual meeting conducted by NITI Aayog. This achievement is based on performance assessments for the months of January, February and March 2025.
This prestigious ranking is based on 40 key performance indicators across critical sectors such as health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and infrastructure development. Tamulpur Development Block was commended for its outstanding performance across these parameters.
In recognition of this national achievement, Tamulpur Development Block has been awarded ₹3 crore by NITI Aayog to further strengthen development efforts in the region.
During the virtual event, Shri Pankaj Chakravarty, ACS, District Commissioner of Tamulpur, credited the success to the collective efforts of all officials and stakeholders. He remarked,
“It is primarily due to the team efforts of all the officials that we have been able to achieve this top position for Tamulpur Development Block at the national level.”
He also emphasized the district’s notable progress through innovative interventions such as the Panchamrit initiative in the health sector, Mission Vikalp and other multi-sectoral development programmes.
