NFR Introduces New Stoppages for Express Trains

 

Maligaon, 07th September, 2025:

 

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced new stoppages for three important trains under Katihar Division to enhance passenger convenience, improve regional connectivity and provide greater travel comfort.

 

With effect from 5th September 2025, Train No. 13141/13142 (Sealdah – New Alipurduar –Sealdah) Teesta Torsa Express has been given a new stoppage at Kanki Station. The inaugural halt was flagged off in the gracious presence of Shri Kartik Chandra Paul, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, along with senior railway officials and local dignitaries.

 

From 6th September 2025, stoppages at Azamnagar Road Station have been provided for Train No. 13145/13146 (Kolkata – Radhikapur – Kolkata) Express and Train No. 13053/13054 (Howrah –Radhikapur – Howrah) Kulik Express. The ceremony was participated in presence of Shri Tariq Anwar, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Nisha Singh along with senior railway officials and local dignitaries.

 

These new stoppages at Kanki and Azamnagar Road will benefit a large number of passengers from Bihar and West Bengal, strengthening regional connectivity and fulfilling local aspirations.
