NFR Extends Periodicity of Three Pairs of Festival Special Trains
To clear extra rush during festive season
Maligaon, 05th September, 2025:
To meet the escalating rush and fulfil the substantial demand of passenger’s during the festive rush, Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to continue the services of three pairs of special trains for 13th additional trips each in both directions. These trains will run with their existing days of service, timings, composition and stoppages. The extension of these train services will also benefit wait listed passengers of other trains in those routes.
Accordingly, the periodicity of Train No. 09189 (Mumbai Central – Katihar) Special has been extended and will now operate from 4th October to 27th December, 2025. In the return direction, Train No. 09190 (Katihar – Mumbai Central) Special will run from 7th October to 30th December, 2025.
Train No. 05638 (Silchar – Naharlagun) Special has been extended and will now operate from 06th October to 29th December, 2025. In the return direction, Train No. 05637 (Naharlagun – Silchar) will run from 7th October to 30th December, 2025.
Another train No. 05628 (Agartala – Guwahati) Special has been extended and will now operate from 02nd October to 25th December, 2025. In the return direction, Train No. 05627 (Guwahati – Agartala) will run from 03rd October to 26th December, 2025.
