NBWA Executed: EGPD Arrests Sankar Nath Pandit in Connection with 2016 GR Case

In a significant legal development, a team from the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) under Basistha Police Station successfully executed a Non-Bailable Warrant of Arrest (NBWA) against a long-pending accused.
The accused, identified as Sankar Nath Pandit alias Babu (32), a resident of Hastinapur, was arrested in connection with GR Case No. 13724/2016. The NBWA had been issued by the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Guwahati, Kamrup (Metro).
Following the arrest, Pandit has been taken into custody and is being produced before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.
Authorities confirmed that the operation was carried out based on credible inputs and due coordination with legal procedures. The arrest marks a step forward in ensuring accountability and expediting long-standing judicial matters.
