🚨 Mobile Snatching Case Cracked by EGPD Team from Basistha PS 👏🔍

Swift action by the East Guwahati Police Department (EGPD) has led to the successful resolution of the Beltola ICICI Bank mobile snatching case reported on 9th June 2025, between 5:30 AM – 6:00 AM.

 

👮‍♂️ Acting on intelligence and timely investigation, a team from Basistha Police Station arrested:

 

🔹 Kundan Kumar (26) – from Birubari

🔹 Ennos Ali (24) – from Ulubari

 

Upon interrogation, both accused confessed to the crime and revealed the name of the person who received the stolen property.

 

🔗 Based on their confession, the receiver of the stolen phone, Papu Biswas (24), was nabbed from Rehabari–Sarababhati area.

 

📦 Recovered items include:

 

1️⃣ Snatched VIVO smartphone

 

1️⃣ Additional mobile phone

 

🛵 Scooty used in the crime (Reg. No. AS01FV6723)

 

👕 Clothes worn during the offence

 

 

✅ Legal proceedings have been initiated against all three accused. EGPD remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens by acting swiftly against street crimes.
