Manipur: Massive Arms Cache Recovered in Security Raids
Security forces in Manipur have recovered a significant cache of arms and ammunition during a series of coordinated raids across sensitive zones of the state. The operation, conducted jointly by the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police, is part of intensified efforts to restore peace and disarm insurgent elements in the region.
According to official sources, the raids led to the seizure of:
Over 50 sophisticated firearms including AK-series rifles and sniper guns
More than 10,000 rounds of live ammunition
Hand grenades, IED-making materials, and communication devices
The recoveries were made from multiple hidden bunkers and abandoned houses suspected to be used by militant groups. No arrests have been confirmed yet, but investigations are ongoing.
Officials stated that this is one of the biggest arms recoveries in recent months and marks a significant success in curbing militant capabilities in the conflict-hit state.
