Madhya Pradesh Honors PM Modi with Traditional Handicrafts and Cultural Gifts

Bhopal, September 17:

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Madhya Pradesh paid a special tribute by presenting him with traditional handicrafts and cultural gifts that reflect the state’s rich heritage.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, along with senior ministers and representatives of the state’s cultural department, handed over the unique collection to the Prime Minister. The gifts included intricate Gond paintings, terracotta artifacts, tribal jewelry, and handwoven Chanderi and Maheshwari fabrics, showcasing the artistry of local craftsmen.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Mohan Yadav said, “This gesture is a symbol of our respect and gratitude to Prime Minister Modi ji, who has always encouraged India’s traditional arts and artisans. Through his initiatives like ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘One District One Product,’ he has given a new life to handicrafts and local industries across the country.”

Officials highlighted that the selection of gifts was made to represent Madhya Pradesh’s diverse cultural identity—from tribal craftsmanship to classical art forms.

The presentation was accompanied by cultural performances by local folk artists, making the occasion more vibrant.

The event reflected both reverence for the Prime Minister’s leadership and recognition of his efforts to preserve and promote India’s traditional heritage at national and global levels.
