Live-in Betrayal, Financial Fraud & Illegal Arms: Sahil Khan Booked After Serious Allegations by Woman in Assam

 

📍 Dispur, Assam – 10 June 2025:

In a dramatic turn of events, a woman named Krishna Devi Brahma, daughter of Kabiram Brahma from Banduguli, Rangapara in Sonitpur district, has filed a serious complaint against one Sahil Khan, accusing him of cheating, emotional exploitation, financial fraud, and unlawful possession of arms.

 

🔴 Complaint Summary:

 

The complainant stated that she had been in a live-in relationship with Sahil Khan for the past four years based on his repeated promise of marriage. Over this period, the accused allegedly took Rs. 20 lakhs from her under the pretext of starting a business and purchasing land.

 

The woman was later shocked to discover that Sahil was also maintaining another relationship, prompting her to approach the police.

🔍 Investigation Developments:

 

During the interrogation, Sahil Khan was asked to hand over his mobile phone to verify communications and intentions. He claimed the device was at his rented premises in Kahilipara, Guwahati.

👮 Search Team: Led by Inspector Krishna Kanta Laskar (Addl OC-2, Dispur PS) along with police personnel including WPC/2474 Salma Afiya Laskar

📍 Location: Synergy Imperial, B-03, 3rd Floor, G-01, Kahilipara, Guwahati-19

🔍 Legal Basis: Search conducted under Section 185 of BNSS through audio-visual recording in the presence of independent witnesses.

 

⚠️ Seizure Details:

 

The police team recovered and seized the following from the premises:

 

🔫 4 empty cartridges suspected to be of 9 mm pistol

 

 

🔫 1 empty cartridge of 7.62 mm SLR

 

💣 2 live ammunitions of 9 mm pistol

 

🏦 Bank stamp bearing “Bank of India” and “Dispur Branch”

 

 

🚘 White Fortuner SUV without number plate

 

 

The accused failed to produce any valid arms license or documentation for the seized items.

 

🚨 Suspected Arms Offences:

 

Police now suspect Sahil Khan’s involvement in illegal arms trafficking or unlawful use of firearms, as per initial findings. Further investigation is ongoing to trace the source of the weapons and any larger criminal nexus.

“We are thoroughly investigating both the emotional and financial fraud aspects of the case as well as the serious implications of arms possession. No leniency will be shown if evidence confirms illegal activities.”
