EGPD Cracks Mobile Theft Case in Record Time
Guwahati, 13 August:
Swift action by an East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Basistha Police Station led to the successful cracking of a mobile theft case within just 12 hours of the report being lodged.
As per reports, five mobile phones were stolen from near Gate No. 3, Sarusajai. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police apprehended the accused, identified as Amrit Rai (22) of Bakrapara, from the Khanapara area.
All five stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession and subsequently seized.
Police have initiated necessary legal proceedings against the accused
