Baksa Gets Two New RCC Bridges to Boost Connectivity and Economic Growth
Baksa, August 10: In a significant step towards strengthening road connectivity in the region, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated two newly constructed RCC bridges connecting Bhalukmari to Jarabari via Krishna Mandir Path in Baksa district.
The new infrastructure is expected to greatly ease travel for residents, facilitate the smooth movement of goods, and give a strong push to local economic activities. Officials said the bridges will serve as a crucial link for surrounding villages, enhancing trade and communication while also reducing travel time.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Hon’ble Chief Executive Member of BTC Shri Pramod Boro, Hon’ble MP Shri Dilip Saikia, and Hon’ble Ministers Shri Jayanta Mallabarua and Shri Ranjeet Kumar Dass. Several local leaders, dignitaries, and residents also joined the event, marking it as a day of celebration for the people of Baksa.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dr. Sarma reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing robust infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas, stating that such projects are essential for equitable growth and better living standards.
With the opening of these two RCC bridges, Baksa moves a step closer to becoming a hub of improved connectivity and economic prosperity in the region.
